This is a blog dedicated to inspiring people to feed the hungry this Christmas. By saving money on Christmas cards and donating that money to the Global Food Initiative with Compassion International you can feed the hungry. You’ll still send cards to your loved ones, they’ll just be digital cards (free), and hungry children will thank you (either in this life or the next).
Here’s the skinny:
Lets say your family sends just 75 Christmas cards to your friends and family this year.
75 stamps @ $0.42 apiece = $31.50
75 custom printed cards w/ envelopes @ $1.00 a piece (that’s cheap) = $75.00
You’d spend $106.50. That will feed 8 hungry children FOR A MONTH.

You can also send e-cards through Compassion’s e-cards site at http://www.compassion.com/ecards/default.htm. It’s just another way to tell your friends and family about Compassion’s ministry to children in need.
